Rebecca Gelrud, RN, MS Informatics | Senior Associate
Rebecca leads SDV INTERNATIONAL’s clinical informatics initiatives. An accomplished healthcare expert, Rebecca presents a wide breadth of capabilities for her clients. Rebecca has extensive experience providing Nursing Informatics subject matter expertise and Project Management in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) environment, with a focus on intensive care unit (ICU) information systems by coordinating beta clinical trials and establishing protocols in accordance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
Rebecca supports the SDV INTERNATIONAL’s information systems for nursing and medical functionality, usability, and quality by establishing company policies, procedures, and protocols that are compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Logical Observational Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC), and Health Level Seven (HL7) standards. An expert in the Veterans Affairs environment, Rebecca served at the Clinical Information Systems Department at the Department of Veterans Affairs Baltimore Veterans Area Medical Center (VAMC).
Rebecca is a Registered Nurse, as well as a board certified in Nursing Informatics, and is a member of HIMSS, AMIA, and CARING. She completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing Informatics, and undergraduate studies in Science of Nursing.
