ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND — SDV INTERNATIONAL (SDV) attended a U.S. Naval Academy football game this month in Annapolis to celebrate the academy’s strong academic and athletic programs with alumni colleagues. SDV INTERNATIONAL’s president and colleagues were invited to the field during the game to observe the athletic program at its best. The Naval Academy has a unique clarity of purpose, as expressed in its mission statement:
"To develop Midshipmen morally, mentally and physically and to imbue them with the highest ideals of duty, honor and loyalty in order to graduate leaders who are dedicated to a career of naval service and have potential for future development in mind and character to assume the highest responsibilities of command, citizenship and government."
SDV’s president, Jason Roys, made the following statement shortly following the event:
“SDV is proud to work with so many Naval Academy graduates over the years. They are in a league of their own. In fact, I would like to draw everyone’s attention to a great organization to support the families of U.S. Navy SEALs called SEALKIDS.org. SEALKIDS supports the children of Naval Special Warfare warfighters — Navy SEALS— living in extraordinary circumstances. The non-profit’s encompassing approach of academic testing, tutoring, therapy, advocacy, and enrichment fosters the success and well-being of the children who experience unusual challenges, critically reducing family stresses and ultimately keeping today’s Navy SEAL in the fight. I had the pleasure of spending time with SEALKIDS Chairman Real Admiral Scott Moore at a fundraiser hosted by a friend recently. I was blown away by the SEALKIDS mission, and I encourage everyone to make a donation to the organization. Fortunately, there are families, like those who host fundraisers, who go the extra mile to contribute. Go NAVY!
